Leading hardware and ventilation expert Titon has supplied over 230 Trimvent 4000 Hi Lift aluminium slot ventilators and canopies to City College Plymouth, Devon. The College is undergoing a £4 million refurbishment and the enhanced facilities will be ready for opening in September.

The Titon Trimvent 4000 variable opening slot ventilators were installed with Sapa Dualframe 75 Si Tilt/Turn aluminium windows by High Wycombe-based Hazlemere Group. Commenting on Titon, Simon Keegan, Commercial Sales Director, said: “Titon’s trickle vents have been widely specified for a number of jobs before. Having worked with them many times, we knew they would be the ideal option for the window profiles used for this project.”

Trimvent 4000 Hi Lift is an aluminium slot ventilator that fits over a 13mm slot in the window. With a range of sizes that provide an Equivalent Area (EA) of up to 6000mm² when fitted with the Hi Flow canopy, the TV4000 Hi Lift is ideal for both new-build and refurbished applications and is available in a variety of colours. Specifically developed for recent revisions to Part F of the Building Regulations and to improve performance for requirements throughout the UK and Europe, the Hi Lift range is 60% more efficient than previous models.

The ventilation and canopy or grille combinations have been tested in accordance with BS EN 13141:2004 and to make specification simple, Titon has marked the EA on each product for easy reference. Additional features include a compression closing action, felted gasket for improved performance and specially designed linkages to ensure constant friction and smooth action.

City College Plymouth has a total of 18,447 students and employs 779 staff and provides education and training to Plymouth, Devon and the wider community.
