Titon in Tower Block Refurbishment - Sep 2010

An energy efficiency project in the London Borough of Lambeth has seen three tower blocks refurbished with high performance Titon trickle ventilators. Installation of Titon trickle ventilators has been part of a Lambeth Council exemplar energy efficiency project to achieve the decent homes standard for all three buildings.

Titon Trimvent SM trickle ventilators were installed at the Brittany Point, Ward Point and Elkington Point tower blocks on Lambeth Council’s Ethelred estate by commercial and residential window installers Perfect Glaze Ltd of North London.  Ease of installation and high quality of finish were key factors in selecting Titon products for Ramakrishna Kari of Perfect Glaze Ltd. Mr Kari said: “Titon trickle ventilators are very easy to install on window/window extension frames. The quality of the product and powder coating finish is excellent.”

All Titon's trickle ventilators are designed with optimum performance in mind to comply with the latest building regulations and standards throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

Mr. Kari commented: “We have used Titon products in all our previous commercial projects as they fully comply with current building regulations in terms of equivalent area achievement through windows.” He added: “The support from Titon’s technical and sales team on this project has been excellent.”

The ‘trickle' or ‘background' ventilator has been Titon's core product over many years and the company is the largest manufacturer and supplier of these products in the UK. The Trickle Ventilator range is extensive and covers products for virtually every window and door application and material. Titon expanded its comprehensive range of window trickle ventilators to include improved designs which assist in compliance with Ventilation Regulations in England & Wales. Aluminium or PVCu models are now available which offer increased ventilation that no other ventilator manufacturer can match.

This makes both the specifier and the window fabricator's jobs easier. The specifier can pick Titon products to ensure compliance for a choice of ventilation systems in different dwelling types, without constant specification change. The fabricator is safe in the knowledge that only the minimum number of ventilators required need to be used to achieve this compliance.

Titon products are endorsed and regularly selected by architects, Local Authorities and Housing Associations across the UK.
